At Aruva Living, we design pieces that help you feel more at ease in your home — and the same intention applies to how we handle your personal information. If you’re a California resident, you have the right to tell us not to “sell” or “share” your personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Aruva Living does not sell customer lists in the traditional sense. Still, some of the technologies that help our store function — analytics tools, advertising partners, integrations that keep everything running smoothly — may be interpreted under California law as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. This page explains what that means and how you can choose what’s right for you.

We use services that support the experience you have on our site, such as:

3. How to submit a “Do Not Sell or Share” request
A. Using the automated opt-out page
Visitors in eligible regions (including California and certain other states) will automatically see options to manage their data preferences through Shopify’s privacy tools.
No action is needed on your part to access those controls — they appear when required by law.
B. Email request (recommended if you want us to apply your choice across devices)
You may email us at Support@AruvaLiving.com with the subject line:
“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.”
Please include:
•    Your full name
•    The email address used for any Aruva orders or newsletter subscriptions
•    Whether your request covers:
o    Web activity (cookies / analytics / ads), and/or
o    Past purchases associated with your email
We will use this information to locate your records and apply your preferences.

4. After you opt out
When we receive a valid opt-out request, we will:
•    Stop using personal information associated with your request for activities considered a sale or sharing, and
•    Notify applicable service providers as required.
Please note:
•    We may still use your information for activities that are not considered a sale or sharing — such as fulfilling orders, supporting your account, preventing fraud, or measuring basic site performance.
•    If you clear your cookies, switch browsers, upgrade your device, or browse in private mode, you may need to opt out again so we can recognize your preference.

5. Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
To do this, we may require:
•    Written authorization from you, and
•    A way to verify both your identity and your agent’s authority.

6. How we verify requests
To protect your information, we take reasonable steps to confirm that each request is being made by you (or someone authorized to act for you). Depending on the request, we may:
•    Ask you to confirm information already associated with your account or past orders, and/or
•    Contact you at the email address linked to your Aruva interactions.
If verification is not possible, we may be unable to fulfill the request — but we will explain why.
